Once obtained a white card provides the issued person with proof of competency in Basic Construction site induction training, unit CPCCWHS1001 ‘Prepare to work safely in the construction industry’. Providing the minimum standard of Work Health and Safety training required to commence work in the Construction and associated industries.
The course module is compatible with almost all devices, mobile phones and PC’s. This is reflected in the majority of students completing the online white card course by mobile phone or tablet with little to no fuss. Internet connection is the only requirement and like anything in today’s world that will depend on each students quality of internet connection. The online white card training course is very user friendly resulting in students following the course requirements to completion in almost all cases without issue.
Any person working or required to gain access to a construction site/zone for work in all Australian States and Territories must hold a valid white card.
What prerequisites do I need to commence the white card online training course?
You need to be 14 years old and have a basic understanding of the English language and literacy skills to commence and obtain the online white card training course.
Once you have successfully completed the online White Card course and provided confirmation of your identity, you will receive:
The skills necessary to work safely in the construction industry throughout Australia;
A statement of attainment CPCCWHS1001 ‘Prepare to work safely in the construction industry’; and
A physical White Card which is legislatively recognised in all states and territories
14 years old is the minimum age limit to be issued a White Card
A confirmation email will be sent on successful completion of the white card course. The actual white card qualification will be mailed directly to the student once all payment and identification verifications are complete.

No, an Australian mailing address is required to receive your completed card. Be aware of time differences and be advised we work AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time). The student must be in Australia to complete the course.

Any type of work that requires access to a construction site or zone to conduct their work/employment require a White card. Site managers, Tradespeople, Labourers, Engineers, Architects, Surveyors, some Miners, etc.
Unique Student Identifier for nationally recognised training records. All students/trainees wishing to obtain a White Card must first obtain a USI number
A Qld White card for those with a QLD address and a Western Australia White card for those in any other state or territory. Both are valid in all states and territories throughout Australia.
The white card training course online will take 6 Hours but may vary dependant on individual trainee literacy skills. The course allows the student to pause the session multiple times during training so that it can be completed when it is convenient for the student. Students will receive confirmation of attainment by email. The white card will be mailed directly by close of business each day.
No, it won’t expire so long as the issued worker can show currency in the industry over the past 2 years. All other previously issued cards (such as blue cards) remain valid also so long as the issued person remains current in the construction profession.
You must apply to your original issuing RTO for a replacement white card if yours has been lost or misplaced. If you conducted training with us please forward an email so that we can arrange with you the re-issue of your white card.
